Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays are an advanced, low-radiation alternative to traditional film-based X-rays, offering instant, high-resolution images for faster diagnosis and treatment planning. They use digital sensors instead of film to capture detailed images of teeth, bone, and surrounding structures with significantly lower radiation exposure—up to 90% less than conventional X-rays. These images can be viewed instantly on a computer, enlarged for better visualization, and easily stored or shared with other providers or insurance companies. Digital X-rays are essential for routine checkups, detecting cavities, monitoring bone loss, evaluating restorations, and diagnosing periodontal issues.
Key Features:
- Up to 90% less radiation than traditional film
- Instant imaging with no chemical processing
- Enhanced diagnostic clarity through image magnification and filtering
- Easy digital storage and sharing with specialists or insurance
- Common types include bitewing, periapical, and panoramic views
- Ideal for detecting cavities, infections, bone levels, and restorations
Advanced intraoral scanner (Primescan)
Primescan by Dentsply Sirona is an advanced intraoral scanner that produces highly accurate, full-arch digital impressions in seconds. It captures over 1 million 3D data points per second, delivering exceptional image resolution—even in moist environments. The system offers a real-time touchscreen interface, integrates with CEREC, SureSmile, and other CAD/CAM platforms, and is well-suited for a range of procedures, including crowns, bridges, implants, and orthodontics. With its open-system design and same-day workflow compatibility, Primescan is a powerful tool for elevating digital dentistry.
Key Features:
- Captures over 1 million 3D data points per second
- Accurate full-arch digital impressions (wet or dry)
- Real-time 3D model visualization via touchscreen interface
- Integrates with CEREC, SureSmile, and lab CAD/CAM platforms
- Enables same-day dentistry and in-office restorations
Gemini Dental Laser
The Gemini Dental Laser by Ultradent is a dual-wavelength soft tissue laser that combines 810 nm and 980 nm wavelengths to deliver fast, clean, and precise cutting with minimal thermal damage. With up to 20W of super-pulsed power (or 100W in the EVO model), it allows for a wide range of procedures—from gingivectomies and frenectomies to ulcer treatment and peri-implantitis care—with enhanced comfort and faster healing. It includes advanced features like an illuminated handpiece tip, Bluetooth foot pedal, pre-set clinical modes, and optional photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy with the EVO upgrade.
Key Features:
- Dual-wavelength laser (810 nm + 980 nm)
- Up to 100W super-pulsed power in EVO model
- Pre-set procedure modes and tip illumination
- Bluetooth foot pedal and user-friendly display
- Supports PBM therapy (pain relief and healing)
- Ideal for soft tissue surgeries and lesion treatments
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography)
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) is a 3D imaging technology that provides detailed, volumetric views of the teeth, jawbone, sinuses, nerve pathways, and surrounding structures. Unlike traditional 2D X-rays, CBCT captures a cone-shaped beam of data, creating high-resolution, three-dimensional images used for implant planning, TMJ assessment, airway evaluation, orthodontics, and complex surgical cases. It allows dentists to measure bone density, map nerves, and precisely plan surgeries with increased accuracy and safety. CBCT scans are quick—typically completed in less than a minute—and provide a comprehensive view with minimal radiation compared to medical CT scans.
Key Features:
- 3D imaging of hard tissues, sinuses, nerves, and jawbone
- Essential for implant planning, surgical guides, and orthodontic mapping
- Fast scan time (under a minute) with lower radiation than medical CT
- Accurate measurement of bone volume and density
- Enables airway analysis and TMJ joint evaluation
- Supports precise diagnosis and treatment planning in complex cases
